|
Patrons begin a tour of the museum
by first visiting the prehistoric era display. The exhibit contains
artifacts collected by the anthropology class at Scott High School.
The artifacts mark the technological advancement of our regional
ancestors. The prehistoric era display contains a life size rock
shelter with two mannequins knapping a projectile point.
The two mannequins knapping a projectile point include a male mannequin with his tool kit at his side, while a female mannequin is scraping a deer hide. A wild turkey is hanging in the background and a mussel midden is piled up to show the types of foods that were part of their diet.
