Frontier Village

The Museum of Scott County also
provides several outdoor exhibits known as the Frontier Village. The
Frontier Village consist of two actual log cabins that have been
deconstructed and then reconstructed on the grounds of the museum.
The first is a log cabin detailing life on the frontier during the 1800's.
The museum also has a one room school house log cabin. The cabin has tablets and log benches for seats. During tours, patrons set in the school house cabin and see first hand what school was like in the 1800's and early 1900's.

The museum also provides livestock
for patrons to feed as well as a barn for the livestock as seen below.
Also on the grounds of the museum is a reconstructed corn crib made from real logs. The corn crib was donated to the museum and reconstructed on the museum site.
The Museum grounds are another favorite of most who visit the Museum of Scott County.
