Frontier Era

![]() The frontier era exhibit shows how life actually was on the frontier during the mid 1800's. During this era, people had to either grow their food or kill their food to eat. Students dressed in character display how the frontier folks churned butter and made their food.

The exhibit also has a log cabin.
The log cabin was the primary source of shelter for the frontiersmen.
The logs are constructed much like they would have been constructed in the
mid 1800's. The inside of the cabin displays what items and
belongings most cabins would have contained during this time period.
