World War II

 

The World War II exhibit details information about Scott County's dedicated veterans during World War II.  Patrons are led on a tour by  a guide dressed in WW II apparel as seen below.

There are several displays that provide information about the uniforms soldiers wore during WWII as well as weapons that were used during this war.

The exhibit also discusses the negative side of war, including the holocaust.  Several pictures are placed on display to remind patrons of the human cost of World War II.  The display also has an American flag and a German (Nazi) flag draped from the ceiling signifying the two opposing world powers during this time.

The war exhibit also has information pertaining to other wars.  The focus of the war exhibit is to show others the dedicated service that many Scott Countians have shown through out the years.
